Effective March 26, 2020 and until further notice, we have suspended the UPS Service Guarantee for all shipments from any origin to any destination. For all U.S. origin shipments, the Service Guarantee suspension became effective as of March 24, 2020.
Our preferred carrier is UPS. UPS requires a physical address for delivery. If a physical address is not provided, the delivery of your package will be delayed until a physical address can be provided. We no longer ship to P. O. boxes via our website. If you require a package to be shipped to a P. O. Box please contact our retail store at 888-225-2531 to place your order.
All packages are shipped from our Concord, NH facility, Monday through Thursday. To ensure that your items remain in good condition, we do not ship on Fridays to avoid your items sitting in a storage facility over the weekend. All times and rates are based upon shipping UPS Ground and are established via UPS. UPS Next Day and Second Day Air options are available and listed at the time of check out. Most ground shipping times range between 2-6 days depending on the delivery location. These times are guidelines only and are not a guarantee of when your package will arrive.
During certain times of the year we must take steps to ensure that your chocolates and candies arrive in good condition. During warm weather months we will ship all orders with ice packs to maintain a cool shipping temperature. Any delivery outside of New England shipped during warm weather months will require you to select Second day or Next Day Air shipping; otherwise we will not be responsible for orders that arrive in poor and melted condition. We recommend shipping to a work address or address that will guarantee someone available to receive your package. Granite State Candy Shoppe is not responsible for packages in poor and melted condition because it was left in a warm environment for delivery. At times when temperatures are extreme we may, at our discretion, delay shipment until cooler temperatures are present. During hot weather we do our best to protect your chocolates. We cannot be responsible for melted chocolates that result from shipping delays or packages left unprotected or in the sun at time of delivery in hot weather. No refund or reshipment will be offered in the case of melting under the aforementioned circumstances.
If your order is a gift, we offer gift wrapping at the time of checkout. Selecting giftwrapping will allow you to include a message along with your package.
During holiday seasons (i.e. – Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, etc.) we experience high shipping volumes. To ensure that your package arrives on time we recommend shipping your order early. During these heightened shipping periods we are unable to offer any guarantees on arrival dates for shipments.
We take painstaking efforts to be sure that each and every piece of chocolate we make is done with love and care, as we want everyone to enjoy our products as they were meant to be. Because our confections are made with fresh local ingredients like, fresh whole milk and pure cane sugar, they are delicate and will melt much more quickly than other chocolates. If you are dissatisfied with the freshness of your order upon arrival, please contact us immediately for a replacement or refund. Please read our shipping information for policies regarding product melting during shipment.
